Can you then use it legally? dude, even the tiniest little sample of copywritten audio can potentially bring litigation against you. no amount of audio effects processing can legalize the sample (of course you could distort the sample beyond recogition) it is still however a dirivative work, and therefor illegal. just be careful man.
