SELLING A SOFTWARE WITH SOURCE CODE[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Don Taveras on October 24, 2001 at 07:52:25: I have developed a Graphic Designer and a Company is interested in buying it, including source code. I want to sell it to them and give them the right to market it exclusively. But I want to retain 20% of benefits. When I sell, do I sell 80% of the Copyrights and that grants me 20% of the benefits? Can I sell 100% of product ownership and still get benefits from Copyright? How much (in percents) is the copyright benefits for software? Thanks, Don
