Newspaper Copyright 1923-1963[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Cyndie on October 20, 2001 at 03:33:15:
It is my understanding that works published between 1923-1963 with notice are protected for 28 years + 67 years if renewed. Does "with notice" mean that the copyright symbol much appear on the work including a newspaper? If so, would newspapers dated those years without a copyright symbol printed on the paper now be in the public domain? How can a person find out if a newspaper renewed their copyright for the additional 67 years? Thanks for any help/guidance. Cyndie
