: An on-line Yellow Page directory says at the bottom, : "copyright..all rights reserved..use subject to license". : I thought the Yellow Pages were public information?!? The trademark rights in "Yellow Pages" are very complex. Without doint the research,I seem to recollect that the use of "Yellow Pages" in themselves are in the public domain. I believe that there are tradmark registrations for various specific verons of Yellow Pages". The expression of a web page is a protectable under a copyright. The information, subject matter is not. The web host may or may not know the significance of that they say or may be using a scare crow. You can freely use the imformation you get from the web page if you do not infringe a patent or a trademark. M.
