Dear Ms. Malden, It is clear that no matter what that you have rights in the work that you have created and can register a copyright on it, published or unpublished. There are complex questions as to legal rights to the document as distinguished from the copyright law and questions as to the a copyright on republication and the physical ownership of the documents. There are Fair Use privileges in the statue for non profits but there is no pat answer, and answers go beyond the copyright law. M.
