: I want to make a computer based training CD using a book with nine chaperts. This computer based training is for counselors who need continuing eduction credit.I would take two of the chapter and outline it using video, voice, and powerponit type slides. Do I have to get permission to do this (from whom?), or can I have an introduction video that explains the book , author, etc. and to buy the book for more information.

Dear D Long,

You can do it. If you copy material from others there is a risk of copyright infringement.
