: I was advised to copyright documents. One suggestion was Poor Man's Copyright. While it may be extremely economical, I do not think it is the best method. Might anyone have any other suggestions as to how I may guard my documents? Dear LaTisha, A poor mans copyright is generally a waste of effort, particularly since the Official Copyright Filling fee is only $30. If you know what you are doing, there is much that you can do without spending much money. There is also the risk in a "Poor Man's Copyright", that when the chips are down, the wanted evidence may not be accepted in court. M. Arthur Auslander
