: : HOW FAR HAS INDUSTRIAL DESIGN LAW BEEN AFFECTED BY THE CDPA 1998
: The Copyright Designs and Patent Act 1988 (CPDA)was brought in to remove industrial designs from the sphere of copyright work to preserve artistic works. The CPDA provides protection for industrial designs in the form of design rights. Therefore under the CPDA, Copyright plays a much smaller role in the protection of industrial designs.
