: I need a definition of Intellectual Property as it pertains : to graphic / web design. The code that sets up the web page is copyrightable. The images and text is also copyrightable. Any service that the website offers may be used as a service mark. There may be trademark usage at the site. The domain name may be registerable as a trademark. Onc has to be careful that the domain name does not infringe the trademark of another. There may be questions as to liability for use of particularly the copyrighted material of others. That's all I can think of off hand. Oh yes conceivably there may be patentable systems in the setup that is used. Oh yes! There are complex proprietary interest in the ownership of the intellectual propery involved. M.
