God Bless-Joe Cool Dear Joe Cool, I don't carry the whole statute in my head. There is some specific fair use provisions for Religious Organizations. Illegal is a loaded word. There are Copyright criminal violates and civil violations. Usually the worst is just infringement and then the danger is being sued if there is infringement. Copying is the infringement. If there is no valid copyright notice on the work that is copied, copying may not be actionable until you the copyright is registered or you have been given formal notice. I take no professional responsibility for what is said here. My professional responsibility is only to our clients. M. Arthur Auslander
