I received a call from her father today. He stated that because I was hired by him, I didn't own the copyright to her photos. He is demanding that I release the copyright. : Can I get a clear answer to give back to this man. He asked if I knew of a copyright attonery in my town, which he stated he didn't think so, but then I doubt he is qualified in this area. Thanks FF Dear Francis Farmer, Without taking professional responsibilty, it is my belief that unless there is a writing assigning you copyright rights, you own the copyright. The may be legal limits on the right to exploit the picture of another but that doesn't take away your copyright rights. Registration sets up the enforceability of this right. M. Arthur Auslander
