Found photos and negatives?

I purchased a big box of old photo albums, and on the bottom of the box were these envelopes of negatives, mostly wedding photos. But i found about 20 rolls that were photos of Hollywood Celebrities from the 50's. Some snapshots and some on movie locations. I had a couple people look at these and it seems like nobody has seen these photos at all, and they are quite beautiful. Can i do anything with these photos? can i copyright them? I tried to find the guy at the flea market , where i got them, but he hasnt returned. Any ideas?
