Is it against the law to copy a friend's music CD onto cassette to keep for my own personal use? I would not sell it, just want to make a copy to listen to myself. What about borrowing CD's from the library and copying them onto cassette? I am a Christian and don't want to do it if it is breaking the law. Thanks for your help! Dear Keyne, It is my earnest belief, without research that downloading to a VCR is a copyright infringement, just as photocopying books or book pages. I recollect that atleast one law firm has been called to task for book copying, and now has a system to pay. Downloading is the wrong. Selling provides an exposure to get caaught. M. Arthur Auslander
