Thank you for your reply, but I'm really concerned about teachers making the big mistake of violating video copyright, like using a Home Video (rented or bought) from a video store, in the classroom. Any remarks?
: : I have heard there have been infringement cases filed against educators when they neglect copyright law, especially in the classroom. Could you point me to specific instances where this has happened? I'm looking for States where copyright infringement cases against educators, have been cited and the outcome of these cases.
: Dear Beverly Pruzina,
: Copyrights are national. They are violated every day. Not every violation is challenged. I think for instance that downloading from a TV to a VCR is usually an infringement.
: The commercial exposure of the download is much more likely to wind up in the courts.
