: i have quality original artwork i am preparing to send to specialized magazine publications in the u.s. and europe. i would like to make sure my work is protected before i do so. should i copyright my work, and if so, what media or format should i send to the copyright office...CD, DISK, PHOTO or LASER COPY, ORIGINAL, ETC... Dear Robin Simpson, There is too much to be fathomed from what you say than can be put in a reply here. Basically there is still protection without registration. Copyright notices will help. Even at the $30 offical fee for registration, it could be expensive. There are ways of saving.
