Is it legal to scan in pictures of Disney characters or other pictures like Barbie, add the numbers on the clocks, and make clocks from these pictures and sell them? : : Another idea I had was to sell my idea, using pictures I took myself, to a manufacturer who could make these clocks in bulk and then sell them to department stores. : : Please advise. : Dear Susan, : It's a jungle out there even if you know what to do. Copying is a clear and present danger. If I represented Disney or Barbie I'd try to hang you. : M. Arthur Auslander Dear M. Arthur Auslander, I really appreciate your quick response. I understand that there are clear and concise copyright laws out there that protect individuals and companies that have copyrights. Can you advise me what I can LEGALLY do and maybe some pointers of what to look out for in my inventions. I have many ideas, but not a lot of knowledge about copyright laws. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Susan
