How about citation from books for use in the web page?[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Copyright Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Jumiko Kusakabi on November 04, 2000 at 17:43:58: I plan to create a homepage in which I quote or cite information from books, or newspapers, magazine etc. Since I plan to make the web page a useful guide or database for users, I may have to cite or quote information from published books. If I show the source of the information, author, published date and also show the links to the author's homepage, would it be allowed in terms of copywright law? And if I summarize the information from the books, would it be considered OK from the copywright perspective? I just want to clear this question out before I open the homepage.
