At a bike tournament, a photographer was there taking pictures. He had them registered and copyrighted on a website, www.photoreflect.com. There was a copyright notice over each image with a watermark. I went there and saw my photos where I had the option to buy them but didn't want to do this. I looked through the source code, and found the direct URL without the watermark over the image which the ones off of the photoreflect site had, and saved them to my webpage and then printed them. Is this legal? If I didn't give the photographer the permission to publish them, does that give him the rights to them still? Does it matter if the coordinator hired him at this event or not? Please let me know!
