: I am interested in determining what it takes to be protected properly in a pitch meeting regarding a unique business/marketing idea. The idea consists of an implementation of idea to create an individual company and marketing strategy to grow the idea. The reason for meeting is to attract capital for creation of a company based on the idea. I am concerned about going to a large company or VC and not have adequate protection for my idea. : I do need a confidentiality agreement...what else? How do I make this contract binding...does it differ from state to state? Say, New York versus Massachusetts...I would appreciate your input. : Thanks, : DM
