: I have a modest web site located on a Geocities server with their advertiser's banners on it. Two weeks ago I received three identical e-mails from one of their advertisers to three e-mail address which belong to me and all of which are located within my site. The third e-mail address was placed on the site for the very purpose of catching e-mail extracting robots and is NEVER used for any other purpose. I have reported to the Geocites server administrator that an advertiser was extracting e-mail address from my site for the obvious purpose of sending my site visitors unsolicited e-mail. Geo has not responded. Am I wrong to believe that they have violated my copyright by extrating this list from my site or do I have legitimate reason to demand that they remove the addresses from their database? Every page of my site contains a copyright notice.
