: : What are the use restrictions in having actors portray and speak the words of : WHO PROTECTS THE WRIGHT BROTHERS' IMAGE? There is a doctrine of fair use. What is more though modes of expression are registerable as copyrights not all expressions have been registered. The Wright Brothers question is too vague. Why does it need protection? Their work was protected by patents. Curtis Wright is a tradename a probably trade mark. That can be protected against unfair competition and infringmemt. M. Arthur Auslander
