I would like to use the game rules and mechanics of a board game in a computer game I am developing. I do not plan on actually using the copyrighted text or any of their names. My questiong is, will I be violating the game manufacturer's copyright if i use their game rules "behind the scene's" in my program without describing or reprinting any of the actual text? Most of the implementation of the game system would be invisible to the end users but some will be obvious. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
